Happy Chinese New Year to all celebrating. If you are not celebrating but it is a holiday in your area or country Happy holidays. If its not a holiday there may you share in our good wishes for a good new year. This is the year of the tiger according to the Chinese Calendar.

I have not had a lot of time to draw lately. Busy because of New Year preparations. I drew this artwork on one free day during the New Year. I am playing fate chess with a friend. The spirit animal joining us in this case is my friend’s dragon called teapot. Hes the lovely colour of a brass or gold teapot. He moves the chess pieces when we are not looking. So he cheats basically. We ignore him and continue playing and having our conversation and drinking tea. Its a nice way to pass the afternoon in the spiritual realm and we are enormously fond of teapot. What would chess be without him ?
