Happy Mid-Autumn festival to all who are celebrating. Mid Autumn in the Chinese calendar is celebrated when the moon is at its fullest in the year.

This year post covid we finally got to see the beautiful gardens at gardens by the bay again. The lanterns were truly spectacular.

The huge scene is of Chang’e and Hou Yi i believe.

The colourful lanterns are lanna lanterns. They are Thai lanterns.

There are handpainted lanterns by volunteers.

The rabbit shaped lanterns are the chinese zodiac of this year which symbolise peace, longevity and prosperity

I truly hope you enjoy tonight. A whole year of working hard and now the harvest is here. A time for reunions and appreciating the eternal nature and beauty of the moon.

Hey everyone, i hope you are all well ! It is a rainy day here, even though we are in the midst of Summer. It is a really cool day. I hope you are all doing ok.

This is a really small drawing, but somehow describes me very well. In motion to place a scroll on the shelf. I am always inbetween books and this describes it very well. There is a small bottle on the shelf. I don’t know if i meant it to be perfume, an incense burner, or a bottle of immortal elixir ! The scroll that has been unrolled in my hand feels as if i am lost in thought 

Cup of immortality silk fan

This is a small but classic painting on a chinese silk fan. It is a mini self-portrait of drinking from the cup of immortality with a hidden soul ingredient and the apparition of God. Probably one of the more personal paintings i have done. I have not yet carried this fan outside with me but hope to one day.

This is a rather personal large drawing. I think most of my drawings are quite personal but this one is a self portrait. It describes my experience of acupuncture, which i go for and some of the meridian or spiritual energy points. This artwork is one of my abstracts. It features a silvery figure gazing into a black hole. The start of everything or the moving into the cosmos. It is surrounded by the veins of consciousness or the veins of the universe. Into the dark night of the soul we all step, then emerge. Done in Winter, time of contemplation.
