Artwork of God at his worktable. I didn’t realise at first but i think the different objects on the table are like symbolic representations of the different manifestations of the universe. The bridge of continuity, the ball of creation, the empty dome of possibility, the leaning books.
I think this necklace has pagan origins. The harvest comes to mind. The turning of autumn’s colours, the browning of the leaves, the leaves that seem gold in the fading light. The quartz chosen is full of inclusions. The light and display of nature’s intricacies. Phallic shapes in nature’s creations. The acorn. The falling fruit. The celebration of the harvest, the strength of creation.

I made this necklace with clay. Its a bird with an ornamental bottle and small crystal on a branch with a dreamy blue celestite stone of lucid state awareness. The light blue veins running through it is inspired by Chinese Porcelain. Its kind of one of my dreams to recreate in some way inspired by Spirituality and how Ancient Chinese Art was created.
I made this as a gift for mum’s friend who invited us to her house for dinner. Its two love birds on a branch. Its kind of special to me because in this time of worldwide shortage of clay and materials like chain i managed to put this together for her. Very grateful for the opportunity to offer a meaningful gift to a friend who was so kind to feed us dinner and bought us cake.
I’ve been working with clay a lot recently. It just seems to express my ideas in a different form. This piece is a little dragon, surrounded by delicate lotus leaves. A culmination of spiritual energy in a rutilated quartz. They sit well together. The dragon, the lotus and his stone. A lot of the pieces i make seem like amulets. Though this was not intentional. My mind was somewhere else in the spiritual realm. Its just what the energy seems to bring forth. I think this was the case with crystal pieces ive made. I try to celebrate the beauty of the life and energy of the crystal. But its bought and worn as an amulet. Two different perspectives.

This is my first attempt making mooncakes. Its not perfect but it tastes nice. I used blue pea flower to colour the mooncake blue and beetroot and rose essence + home made rose water for the pink mooncakes. The mold is a dragon. I always feel like the dragon is talking to me while i eat my mooncake. The dragon just looks talkative. The filling is brown sugar less sweet lotus paste. Its an enjoyable experience making mooncakes. Will try to improve. Much love to you all. Hope you are all finding creative things to do in lockdown or during Covid.
The old man surrounded by flowering ginseng. Ginseng is a herb i’ve always had an affinity to. The taste, the scent the properties. I think i was influenced by the sheer amount of chinese medicine and medicinal teas i have been consuming. Also memories of consuming ginseng when i was not well. The picture denotes an old man linked to ginseng. At the end of his life and a kind of longevity. A kind of neverending growth and wisdom steeped in the ground. The Earth God. The jade jar collecting drops of youth that come from his wisdom. Any negativity being transformed into wisdom and growth.

These are my drawings of The Priestess on the left and The Emperor on the right, of the Tarot deck of cards.
I Interpreted the Priestess as being spiritual, or intuitive, therefore she covers her eyes to see with her heart or her mind. The planets revolve around her, and the moon. This is to show she is not of the earthly realm.
A star governs her throat, which means she speaks from far away places.
The Emperor is depicted as a man of power, or a magician, who is called to action. Now is the time for aggressive action.
He is depicted on a throne with two sphinxes at his feet, the sphinxes represent a riddle or mystery and power is a riddle.
This is a new addition to my tarot deck The Cards Of Mystery. It features a girl on a three headed horse. Which represents the three aspects of body, mind and soul. Or the three aspects of the trinity, or the three levels of perception, physical sight, mental sight, spiritual sight.
An angel mysteriously plays the flute, luring one to the afterlife.
The God Hermes is kneeling before the trinity. Bringing a message perhaps. It is the realm of otherworldly beings communicating to each other.
In card interpretation, it is saying that one should use their three levels of perception, physical sight, mental sight and spiritual sight. Also that a message may be arriving.
I am working on a new project at this end of year. I was very inspired to create a deck of cards called The Cards of Mystery that foretold the afterlife or explained it to me. I was interested also in divination of a more spiritual nature. I found that the best way to do this was to draw my own deck of cards.
By chance I found a book called Introduction to Tarot by Susan Levitt, which is a fantastic full coloured book. I was at a market and thought it might be good to read up, and just found the book. She explains things simply and clearly, which is a style that suits me very well. I like to keep things simple. Through Susan Levitt’s indepth explanations of every element of the picture in the tarot card, I was able to understand more fully the meaning of each card.
I am also inspired very deeply by Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, the novel by Susanna Clarke. There is a scene in the book which features two magicians Vinculus and Childermass, trying to give each other tarot readings using a deck of The Cards of Marseilles. Which is the ancient or first form of tarot. I think one of the differences in this deck is that the High Priestess, is known as the Female Pope.
The totem for my deck of cards is the raven, which to me represents wisdom, and hidden knowledge, and secrets. the dark figures that traverse the cards are reminiscent of the spiritual side of me. The back of the card is also visible in this picture. It is an artwork showing two bold brush strokes, and a black angel’s wing. the reason for this is that it represents two swords, or conflict, and to strike at the heart of the wing, is to strike at a mystery which flies away, and nails it. That is my explanation for the back of the card, visible in the picture on the left. The magician is featured sitting on a throne, generally meaning to represent magical power which creates success in your endeavours. A raven speaks to him and magical writing lines his clothes. The windows to the afterlife are open, and there is plenty of light.
This picture was painted in watercolour. One of my favourites
