Angels on Hat

Angels on hat 001

Strange hermit with angels carolling on top of his hat, Had a symbolism of balance of light and dark, here he is present in the sky, with blue clouds and a serene surrounding. Maybe hermits are closer to heaven. who knows.

The angels appear to be in congregation as well, or discussing something, as the hermit holds his transparent cat, a symbolism for understanding secrets.

Nostalgic angel turning time to music

angel moves time 006

These strange bowler hat twins who are made of smoke serenely listen to some music from a gramaphone. a little mysterious black raven watches on. An angel reaches up while they are distracted by the music and turns a wheel, a red chord present in her other hand to turn time.

Definately a symbol of one trying to manipulate the slowness or quickness of time, a heavenly intervention by the angel changes things a bit

Magician at the table

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 013

I love this drawing, it is not for sale. I love it that much. It shows a magician wearing a magenta cloak, which is a self portrait in a way. I own a burgundy cloak and I am a woman but the colour of the cloak in the picture represents some part of my soul.

The magician who could be male or female sits at the table, with a candle giving off bright white light and writes a story, or a scroll in a secret language. Light from the ceiling peeks in through a hole and shines down on the magician, almost illuminating him.

This is an image of self illumination to me, i treasure it.

Magician with raven and book

Christmas 2013 005

This drawing was given to my Godbrother as a birthday present. I truly love it because the face of the magician is androgynous, and really reminds me of what an angel would look like.

The magician is based on my favourite novel and is reading a book of secrets. Ravens flutter around and keep the magician company.

I used watercolour because i wanted to express fluidness, shadows, and forms and smoke that surround a magician. In short I wanted to show the subconscious mind of the magician.

Magician speaks to raven

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 012

This magician is based on one of my favourite novels of all time. The drawing shows the magician covered in tattoos, symbols, and glyphs. It felt interesting to just let my mind flow and draw what was hidden in my mind.

I love ravens. They seem sharp and intelligent, and i love the way they caw at you. Almost as if they are scolding you, or telling you something you need to know.

In this picture, the magician seeks out the wisdom of the raven, bending on his knee in a gesture of respect, listening to the raven and consulting it.

Its interesting to note how the magician is almost tribal looking, i think i am influenced by the fact some tribal people really feel like they know magic to me.

magician with three clocks

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 011

This is the magician with three clocks, doves flutter up his cloak, and the clocks represent the past, present, and no time. No time is my way of describing that endless sense of time inside someone’s mind. One of my favourite drawings.

I don’t know if heaven is the past, maybe it is. Maybe we all came from heaven. The present clock is symbolised by the phases of the moon and four hands. Three hands pointing to the full moon and one to the waning moon. I suppose this symbolises balance.

This is one of my favourite drawings because it symbolises the calling of the powers within oneself.

Vampire falling

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 010

I saw this when i had schizophrenia, i saw many interesting things during schizophrenia that inspire my art. I saw a vampire or a man resembling a member of a choir from this band called Rosa Crux.

The vampire was falling from the sky, as punishment or a test. I saw folds of dark red silk. I fell from the sky too.

In this drawing he does not fall to the ground, he is suspended in the air, which is what I saw. People who are related or know him stand below watching, I try to capture different reactions.

The Rosy Cross

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 009

I think this drawing started with the image of the rosy cross in the stain glass window in the middle of the drawing. I wanted to portray secrets of old, of what we do know of religion.

A man or monk stands pouring water into the cup of life or immortality in the right window.

I think the rosy cross and the cup of life are in separate windows because they are different secrets, and i don’t believe- if there are people associated with the rosy cross, that they would have known the secret to immortality.

i think the secret to immortality is to just be, and then you feel the eternal. I know it isn’t that simple, but i like to keep things simple.

The people in the picture represent Leonardo Da Vinci with something to say about the Rosy Cross, and I do wonder what it is he would say, a self portrait holding a scroll and other figures I saw when i had schizophrenia. Everyone holds a scroll because they have something to say.  I am not sure why I draw figures I saw during schizophrenia, maybe it’s just to give them a place in my life. To be able to point and say, I saw that. I am lucky to be able to draw it, so it just doesn’t stay as a figment of my imagination to haunt me.

The orange globe houses

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 007

I was inspired to draw this because i saw in mind during schizophrenia, people sitting in orange brightly lit up globe houses, that stood on long black stilts.

The houses looked brightly lit, warm, and very comfortable. Rather like a little bubble that one could immerse themselves in and read. The people in these orange globes had strange hair and clothes, and I immediately felt a bond with them.

Drawing this i do wish, these globe houses existed and people really did live in them. !

Here is also a self portrait with the godself, to give some perspective as to size of the globes, they aren’t very big, each just nice for one person.

Three headed unicorn in the world of three suns

drawings 2 7 jan 2014 006

This is my drawing of a three headed unicorn in the world of three suns, in a balance to the three headed unicorns that could be from the underworld

drawings 7th jan 2014 001

I believe that everything exists in a balance, the light as well as the dark.

In the three headed unicorn in the world of suns, the godself is present, as a watcher and a confidante, and the three headed unicorn masters itself by standing on the suns.

The godself is covered with flames from the sun and to me represents being on spiritual fire, or illumination. The three headed unicorn to me represents mastery over trial, and balance, as it balances on two suns.
